Due to growth, a great opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to come and join our team. You will be involved in the process of all sales and purchase ledger invoices with the focus being on speed and accuracy. You will also be accountable for the integrity of the nominal ledger and financial information by completing bank and nominal reconciliations.

By assisting the Management Accountant as required you will also be expected to carry out the duties below:

Main Duties:

  • Purchase ledger – process all invoices and maintain an accurate and efficient purchase ledger
  • Complete regular review of aged payables
  • Sales ledger – ensure invoices are raised accurately and in a timely manner
  • Manage credit risk via on-going credit control and regular review of debtors
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Complete monthly nominal reconciliations
  • Reconcile petty cash
  • Post credit card expenditure
  • Prepare payments and supporting documentation
  • Post journals in Microsoft Navision
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Assist Management Accountant as required

  • Level 2 AAT Qualified
  • A good understanding of bookkeeping
  • Ability to adapt to a changing business and assist with tasks not listed in the above duties
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
