An exciting creative position has arisen for a Composite Materials and Process Engineer to join our team and be part of our ambitious and thriving culture.

You will be joining Mirus at an important phase of its on-going growth. As a Composite Materials and Process Engineer, you will be supporting the innovative development and application of composite materials within the seats and the subsequent industrialisation within our assembly facility. The duties include but are not limited to those shown below:

Main Duties:

  • Awareness of industry composite materials and applicability to high volume manufacturing
  • Understanding of different composite joining technology
  • Development of composite technology into new applications
  • Support new technology initiatives associated with composites manufacturing processes and materials
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, create process routing for composite parts
  • Create and maintain composite manufacturing instructions i.e layup books
  • Awareness of UK composite institutions
  • Support/run new composite development programmes
  • Composite specific process writing
  • Support DFM workshops
  • Provide general DFM guidance during the product design process
  • Concern resolution activities
  • Jig and tool design
  • Liaising with sub-contractors
  • Specifying new equipment
