Quality Control Inspector

We have some exciting news!…we are expanding our Quality team and are looking for Quality Control Inspectors to join our busy team.

These roles will be working closely with our experienced Quality Manager and Senior Quality Technician who are both enthusiastic about developing and mentoring a brand new team.  We are seeking candidates who are keen to start a career within Quality and are open minded to learn new skills within a very regulated sector.

These positions will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming parts and manufactured goods comply with all internal, customer, third party and regulatory requirements through inspection and record keeping activities.

HOURS:  38 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 6 hrs – finish early)

SHIFT:  Day Shift: 0800 – 1630 (currently)   

GENERAL: Full training provided including opportunity for progression

The main responsibilities include ensuring that all components are manufactured to high standards by using inspection plans to:

  • Check dimensions of incoming parts to design drawings for form, fit and function (using basic measuring tools such as rulers, callipers etc.)
  • Check supplier documents against inhouse purchase orders for material traceability and compliance
  • Carry out visual checks on items to ensure they comply with any agreed acceptance criteria
  • Carry out production end of line inspection to ensure finished seats meet customer requirements by using inhouse checklists
  • Produce detailed and accurate inspection records and assist in resolving any issues, for both incoming parts and finished seat assemblies

About the person:

We are looking for candidates that have good attention to detail and work effectively as part of a team as well as the following:

  • A basic understanding of inspection methods
  • A good understanding of English, both verbal and written communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and be highly self-motivated
  • Show good analytical and judgement skills
  • Are self-starters with a positive attitude, reliable, flexible approach and comfortable in a changing environment
  • Eligible to work in the UK
