Mirus Aircraft Seating launches NEW Long Range economy seat, Hawk Duo LR
Following on from the successful launch of their new recline economy seat, Hawk Duo, at Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg in April last year, Mirus are proud to launch their new long range iteration of their Hawk economy seat, Hawk Duo LR, a twin aisle, recline economy long range seat.
Designed for wide body, 8-abreast configuration for A330 and A350, Hawk Duo LR is ultralight and features creative innovative design to deliver exceptional levels of passenger living space and comfort – with around 2” extra legroom space.
With sustainable ultra lightweight design at its core, and a weight reduction of over 750kg on a typical A330 at high density versus, Hawk Duo LR is 20% lighter than its predecessor, reducing the cost of ownership and ongoing maintenance through its life-cycle.
Ideal for mainline Airbus twin aisle operators, Hawk Duo LR will be certified later this year for first deliveries in Q3 2027.
Highly re-cyclable and fully tested at the UK’s leading dynamic test centre MTEST, Mirus’s on-site dynamic test facility, the Hawk Duo LR is arguably one of the most sustainable economy seats available through its lifecycle.

With the Mirus signature design DNA, the sculpted seating surfaces have undergone rigorous design, pressure mapping and testing procedures. The slimline armrests maximise seat width and space, and a generous 5” mechanical recline all combine to provide one of the most comfortable seats available.
Optional features available to address the needs of the most brand conscious of airlines include power/USB integration, PED holders, various comfort foam and headrest options, and the ability to customise the colour, material and design of dress covers.
With Mirus’ commitment to following best-in-class sustainability practices, the new Hawk Duo LR sheds almost 20% of weight compared to its predecessor, making it one of the lightest seats in its category and dramatically reducing fuel burn and C02. The simplicity in design, a low parts count, not layering components together with a higher than typical abuse and cyclic testing during development, means Hawk Duo LR is designed to offer exceptional reliability in service.
