About the role
You will be responsible for transforming Engineering design data into a production/manufacturing BOM and will work cross functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Programmes, Supply Chain and Planning. You will be involved in creating operation routing step requirements based on its manufacture/assembly and how that communicates in the ERP system.
Various Iterations on BOM’s will be required to be created in a timely manner to achieve customer deadlines. You will have an understanding of the engineering involved that creates the designs and how product data will flow though the business ensuring operation routings, sub assembly levelling and stock withdrawal is optimised.
About you
To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a BOM Configurator specialism along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:
- Two A Levels or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience of a similar role in a high pressure manufacturing environment
- A strong understanding of the manufacturing process to ensure optimised production is executed effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to logically resolve problems.
- Experience with SolidWorks / PDM
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word/Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable and experienced in working to tight deadlines, in a fast paced environment.
- Able to learn and have the ability to analyse existing, design and shape new systems/processes.
Desirable:
- Experience and knowledge of document requirements and quality accreditation within the aerospace industry
- Detailed experience of production operation process’s
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central
Personal skills / attributes:
- Self-driven and able to multi-task when required.
- Detail orientated and highly organised.
- Seeks continual improvement.
