(Entry level) Test Technician

As an MTEST Technician, your primary responsibility will be to support our engineers and senior technicians to conduct dynamic, static & life cycle test setups for both Mirus Aircraft Seating and external customers according to test procedures.

• Supporting with dynamic development & certification testing in accordance with customer test procedures and international regulations.
• Setting up high speed cameras for test filming to customer requirements.
• Setting up computer-controlled data acquisition systems.
• Being responsible for maintenance of static test / life cycle area and equipment along with dynamic sled maintenance.
• Reviewing existing risk assessments the dynamic test facility and highlight any changes.

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
• Strong mechanical fitting skills.
• Electrical/electronic skills.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

• HNC/HND in Engineering.
• Welding experience.
• Previous mechanical or electrical technician/engineering experience.
• Experienced in a testing environment.
• Photographic experience – Knowledge of photography, high speed data and video capture.
• Data collection experience.

Personal skills / attributes:

• IT literate.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• High level of confidentiality and integrity.
