IT Manager
Location: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) – Office based role

Hours: Full time/permanent - 37 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 5 hrs – early finish)
About the role
You will be responsible in ensuring that Mirus’ IT Infrastructure, Systems, Policies and procedures are provisioned as to support business objectives and growth ambitions. You will map and deploy our future needs and ensure systems are secure, maintained and improved on a regular basis.
The scope of the role includes:
- This role will identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective IT and communication solutions for all aspects of the organization.
- This person will define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with Regulatory and Group requirements.
- Support and facilitate the development of mature business processes as required to support core I.T systems and provide coaching as required
In your role as our IT Manager, you will:
- Ensure the security of the IT systems and networks, including continual monitoring and response, Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard the firm’s data and systems.
- Ensure IT Backups / Business continuity plan are completed ensuring that a robust disaster recovery plan is in place and tested regularly.
- Lead continual improvement projects within the business to improve overall business processes and system use.
- Develop strategic roadmap for IT improvements aligned to business objective and implement into business systems and infrastructure projects against agreed schedules.
- Plan and manage IT annual budgets and spending, conduct regular review and reporting as per guidelines including business case justifications for IT spending and proactively seek cost savings.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including clients, servers, business applications, local and wide area network infrastructure switches, firewalls and other telecommunication systems.
- Oversee the provision of IT end-user services, including help desk and technical support for IT, and Telecommunication services in a multi-site environment.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory requirements related to data security and privacy, ensuring compliance, take part in Accreditation, Customer and OEM Audits.
- Create and conduct education and training workshops for users.
- Manage IT staffing, including local recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Practice asset management for IT hardware and software.
About you
To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a IT Manager capacity, a passion for problem solving and drive for operational excellence along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:
- Significant experience in an IT related managerial role
- Experience of managing IT systems within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in process improvement and data mapping
- Strong technical knowledge of general IT Cloud Based infrastructure, LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, Networks, Firewalls etc
- Experience of implementing, development and administration of ERP Systems
- Experience of CAD/PLM systems such as Solidworks PDM
- Strong Understanding of cyber security principles
- Experience managing Microsoft Office 365 and Azure, Windows Server 2019, Active Directory
- Experience of continual improvement and process optimisation
Desirable:
- IT qualifications such as ITIL, CompTIA+ etc
- Experience with IaaS, DraaS, VM Ware or other virtualisation platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP
- Experience with High performance computing and Altair Hyperworks
- Familiarity with Cyber Essentials and other frameworks
