LOCATION: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) – Office based role
DEPARTMENT: Production
SALARY: Competitive
HOURS: Full time/permanent - 38 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 6 hrs – finish early)

About the role

As our Master Data Controller you will be part of a cross functional team, responsible for the process of creating and maintaining Master Data and ensuring the consistency with all Business Processes and Systems.

This role will be vital to the success of Mirus, working closely with our internal stakeholders including Engineering, Supply Chain and Production/Operations.

You will be involved in the creation of new Items and the upload of BOMs and Routing Data that are provided, into the ERP system.  You will have a deep understanding of how the parameters attributed to items effect the capacity and material resource calculations performed by the ERP system to generate action messages that prompt stakeholders of their required actions. In addition, you will help aid the planning department in stock queries, scheduling requirements and bespoke BOM configurations that arise, that can be resolved from the understanding of the Item Master Data for which they will be able to advise on.

In your role as our Master Data Controller, you will:

  • Taking Production BOM and Routing Data and importing the data into the companies ERP system so that it can be used for Production Planning and Supply Chain Requirements.
  • The creation of new items in the ERP system once they are available from Engineering.
  • The continual update and revision of item variants as they are created from Engineering.
  • The creation of RFID and ETSO labels for completed seat assemblies.
  • Stock analysis and correction based on reviewed Item Master Data.
  • Time management to ensure BOMs and Item Data are available for customer demand.
  • Regular involvement in Planning and SIOP activities to understand the evolvement of items that may prompt an update to data and information.
  • Assisting the Material Review Board on information they require.
  • Take part in Value Stream Mapping and Lean Process Improvement exercises to understand product requirements.
  • Any other task as deemed necessary/appropriate by management in order to meet company objectives

About you

To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a Data Controller capacity along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Two A Levels or equivalent.
  • 3 years’ experience of a similar role in a high pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word/Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent collaborator within a cross functional environment.
  • Able to learn and have the ability to analyse existing, design and shape new systems/processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:

  • Experience and knowledge of document requirements and quality accreditation within the aerospace industry
  • Detailed experience of production operation process’s and stock control management
  • Experience with SolidWorks / PDM
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central

  • Self-driven and able to multi-task when required.
  • Detail oriented and organised, seeks continual improvement.
  • Able to learn and have the ability to analyse existing, design and shape new systems/processes.
