LOCATION: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) – Office based role
DEPARTMENT: Production
SALARY: Competitive
HOURS: Full time/permanent - 38 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 6 hrs – finish early)

About the role

As our Production Planner you will responsible for ensuring production schedules are produced that align with CRP and MRP requirements and are achieved within Mirus production and manufacturing, ensuring we meet customer demand deadlines that best utilise Mirus resource.

As part of a cross functional team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal communication between relevant departments to provide visibility for the status of production schedules.

In your role as our Production Planner, you will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring daily production requirements and KPI’s are achieved and meet customer expectations.
  • Create production schedules that are optimised according to CRP and MRP requirements and are continually maintained and reviewed with stakeholder functions.
  • Review Capacity availability and restraints on a continuous basis with production and determine where resource is required.
  • Provide data analysis of shop floor activity to advise material/inventory forecasting and purchasing supply levels for finished goods demand in conjunction with sales orders and forecasts.
  • Analyse and prepare documents needed for the support of production.
  • Maintain planning parameters in the ERP system to optimise production/manufacturing processes and inventory levels.
  • Ensure the correct materials are allocated respective of their lot/batch codes.
  • Monitor the release of new item/BOM data released from Engineering to ensure their timely entry, update and BOM configuration into the ERP system.

About you

To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a Data Controller capacity along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • 2 + years’ experience as Production Planner within in a high pressured manufacturing environment.
  • Results driven, able to prioritise and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word/Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent collaborator within a cross functional environment.
  • Able to learn and have the ability to analyse existing, design and shape new systems/processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:

  • Experience and knowledge of document requirements and quality accreditation within the aerospace industry
  • Detailed experience of production operation process’s and stock control management
  • Experience with SolidWorks / PDM
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central would be advantageous

Personal skills / attributes:

  • Self-driven and able to multi-task when required.
  • Detail oriented and organised, seeks continual improvement.
