About the role

You will be strategic and executionally focused, taking ownership and be accountable for managing the sales function in the region to drive growth, and to support the Sales & Marketing team as a whole.

As our Regional Sales Manager you will participate in the development of and achievement of the annual sales plan; building and developing an opportunity pipeline; contributing to sales strategies; contribute to sales reporting; providing key market input into new product development; completing bookings analyses and forecasts; managing the bid process for accounts; selling current and new value propositions; and maintaining and developing business relationships and improving the quality and frequency of customer communications with key airlines, MRO’s agents and distributors.

In your role as our Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Proactively identify new opportunities, generate new leads and convert sales to deliver the sales forecast for your region.
  • Develop customer specific sales strategies; developing, negotiating and winning sales programs through the development of business cases, value propositions and technical proposals.
  • Lead and negotiate all aspects of a commercial proposal through the bid process, from ensuring Mirus is included in relevant tenders, to responding to RFP’s through to contract award – managing multiple sales opportunities of varying complexity simultaneously.
  • Act as a relationship manager, developing and nurturing influential relationships that include all touch points that impact a product selection and purchasing decision, at an appropriate depth and breath
  • Proactively develop and maintain opportunity tracking data & CRM, with sales forecasting which positively contributes to increasing sales and market share.
  • Generate opportunity analysis for GO/NO GO bid decisions by Mirus Management Provide, interpret and apply market intelligence, market knowledge and company knowledge that optimise strategic positioning
  • Provide accurate, insightful and timely management reporting to contribute to the success of the company.

Be willing and able to undertake frequent short and long-haul travel – estimated around 50% – sometimes at short notice.

About you

To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a regional sales capacity, a passion for the aerospace industry with excellent direct selling technical solutions to airlines, lessors, MRO’s etc along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Educated to degree level in commercial associated subject
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace sales
  • Demonstratable new business growth achievements
  • Experienced at selling high profile, brand-lead solutions to airlines, lessors, MRO’s
  • Experience of interpreting and applying market data, technical information, competition intelligence, market knowledge, and company knowledge to optimize positioning
  • Demonstrate success at developing customer specific sales strategies, with a record of identifying, negotiating and winning sales programs with airlines, MRO’s, lessors
  • Experience using CRM systems

Desirable:

  • Relevant sales experience within aircraft seating; and/or cabin interiors environment would be a strong advantage
  • Qualified to Level 3 standard (A Levels or equivalent)
  • Strong IT skills – in particular MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Be confident and able to create and conduct professional, high quality commercial and technical presentations to our customers’ senior management
  • Be able to think big and target major opportunities as well as drive smaller value incremental sales
  • A self-starter who is able to work with limited supervision. Be approachable and have a flexible attitude to growing the business and changing priorities
  • Be reliable, conscientious with sound commercial acumen, judgement and awareness
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentational, and be able to influence at all levels internally and externally
