Mirus Aircraft Seating reveals Kestrel Economy seat in Airbus A320 BFE catalogue
Mirus Aircraft Seating has announced that its Kestrel ultra lightweight Economy seat is now available for selection in the Airbus A320 BFE selection catalogue as a future product.
The seat weighs just 6.9 kilograms per pax, fully dressed. The Kestrel is significantly lighter and offers higher levels of comfort and living space than any comparable seat, the company said via LinkedIn. The lightweight design makes the Kestrel a sustainable choice for airlines looking to reduce fuel burn and maintenance costs without any compromise to passenger comfort.
“It’s been an exceptionally busy year for Mirus. Not only have we certified a new version of our best-selling Hawk economy seat, but also our class-leading, ultra-lightweight Kestrel seat. Both seats have also entered the A320 BFE selection catalogue and have confirmed launch customers,” Marcus Williams, Global Sales and Marketing Director at Mirus Aircraft Seating, tells PAX Tech.
"We’ve secured the launch customer and are close to certifying our first long-range seat, Hawk LR. We showed an enhanced version of our fully-featured wide-body main cabin economy seat, Falcon, at AIX 2024. We have also got one more seat to announce that will be certified in 2025. Watch this space!”
